MEDICAL SUPPLY SURGICAL CAP
Surgical
attire is recommended to be worn by everyone when entering restricted
and surgeon’s semi-restricted areas of the medical environment for
surgical procedures. Some may require the use of hoods for specific
procedures but a medical supply surgical cap is suggested to be worn
fully covering the hair on the head and face. Medical supply surgical
caps or hoods should be worn to reduce contamination of the surgical
field by organisms shed from the hair and scalp. Wearing proper
hospital clothing reduces shedding and promotes environmental control.
Surgical attire should be secured at the waist, tucked in, or fit close
to the body.
Surgical electro cap is a strapless electro-cap designed to be used for
intraoperative EEG monitoring. The cap fits the head securely, thus
eliminating the need for chin straps or body harness. This medical wear
greatly reduces preparation time and assuring quality EEG data. This is
made compatible with the EEG equipment. With this, a medical supply
surgical cap features a non-linting fabric with a polypropylene top for
breathability. The fabric is an absorbent material able to trap
perspiration keeping it out of the user’s eyes. The bouffant head wrap
is made form a single piece of fabric that is designed for all day
comfort. It is made from cotton and poly/cotton fabrics that are
durable.
Along with this, there is also a medical supply surgical cap designed
for those with big hair. The cap is a hybrid of the standard and
bouffant styles. It still gives the look of the regular design
accommodating long hair and large heads. A mini-belt loop is attached
to the back that the ties go through. Additionally, the loop keeps the
hair from getting caught in the knot. Not only that, for a super
absorbent terrycloth sweatband is included in the cap preventing the
user of having more sweat in the eyes during long hours.
