MEDICAL NURSING PAD SUPPLY
A
medical nursing pad supply is one of the maternity services that
prevent leaks from pouring. Medical nursing pad supply helps remedy the
situation by providing a seal to stop any leakage. Some of these pads
are made from the same silicone rubber material from which baby bottle
nipples are made. They may have a tacky lining that gently sticks to
your nipple region so they don't have to be worn with a bra. Some are
also very thin and therefore quite discreet under clothing.
Breast milk leakage is inevitable when you are nursing a newborn child.
Rather than have it stain and ruin all of your shirts and dresses, you
can simply block the leakage. There are no adverse effects of wearing
the pads. Your breast milk production won't be harmed in any way.
Although sometimes some moms may not require medical nursing pad supply
because they never leak despite having healthy milk supplies. And
others only leak occasionally, some may leak early on, and then notice
that the leaking greatly slows down or stops completely.
However, it is wise to purchase at least one package of
medical nursing pad supply until you know if you would really need it.
That way if leaking occurs when the milk comes in, you’ll have
something to go and already clean and softened with washing. By the
time breastfeeding is established you can purchase more pads if needed.
In choosing washable or reusable pads, it is necessary to look for
those that are made of cotton, preferably 100% cotton. This will ensure
adequate airflow to the nipples and breasts. Some pads may have a lace
overlay. This is usually fine as long as the rest of the pad is all
cotton.
In addition, when choosing a disposable pad, look for those that are
either 100% cotton or all paper. Some medical nursing pad supply
manufacturers have recently come up with a disposable pad that has a
breathable plastic lining. Other pads with plastic linings may not
allow for good airflow. Pads with un-breathable plastic linings may
actually impede healing of traumatized nipples or make nipple
infections more likely.
